I’m never sure why people seem to take such pride in exclaiming that they have “No regrets!” I mean, do you really have no regrets, or are you just able to accept the decisions that you’ve made in the past? I’m pretty skepitcal of anyone who truly feels no sense of regret for their various life-choices.
That sort of mentality is great for people who view life as a ride in the passenger’s seat. Like they are strapped in and at the mercy of another driver. In my mind (and I’m a driver, not a passenger) regret is healthy and sane; I think that it keeps us honest with ourselves and connected to our memories.
